So a few weeks ago, my gf of 4 years and I broke up. I dated this chick basically all through college, so my experience attempting to hook up with new girls is limited. However, after work a few days ago, I got sloshed with some coworkers and then went out to a club and discovered something: I am embarrassingly bad with women. When I go up and talk to some new girl I’ve never spoken before, I really don’t know what to say. I normally just ask boring questions like where are you from, what do you do, etc. and its painful because you can basically see these girls’ eyes glaze over as you talk. That added to the fact that loud music is always playing in the background. hence. you hear around 1/3 of what the girl is actually saying doesn’t help things along. So, I know I’m a little late asking this. given I’m out of college. but how the fuck are you supposed to act in these clubs.

Clubs are not a good place to try and meet a girlfriend. When I’m at the club trying to pick up girls, the last thing on my mind is what they’re saying.

This. Think of the girls who go to clubs. they are not looking for a relationship. They want to get shitfaced (ideally at a guy’s expense), dance, and maybe have a one night stand.
Online dating isn’t bad. 22-24 is a time of major social change for everybody, so a few decent people wind up on those sites. Yea, there are freaks. but that holds for people everywhere.
